SALVATION

You can can have a personal relationship with God!
You are valuable and He has a specific purpose for your life.

How do I find my way to God?

God loves you and desires to have a relationship with you. He is not a distant, unknowable God, but a loving Creator. He has a unique purpose for your life. God created a wonderful, perfect world, however through sin, the world and everything in it is corrupt. Mankind has fallen from God’s original perfection, glory, and plan.

“Sin” means to miss the mark, to fall short of God’s holy standard. Let’s face it. No one, other than Jesus, has ever lived a life exactly as God requires. The Bible makes it clear, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”, "…There is no one righteous, not even one” (Romans 3:10, 23; 6:23).

However there is Good News! The Good News is that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place to pay the price for our sins. There is only ONE WAY to God, and that is through JESUS.

  • “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

  • “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

Jesus took the punishment that we deserved. He is the only way for man’s severed relationship with God to be restored.

  • “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

  • “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,  but to save the world through him.” (John 3:16-17)

God has provided a WAY OF ESCAPE from the bondage of SIN and DEATH. Receiving the free gift of salvation is a simple process.

BELIEVE IN JESUS

Jesus came to Earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross and was resurrected from the dead. He paid the full price for our sins. Through His death and resurrection, our sins are forgiven and we obtain the free gift of eternal life in heaven.

  •   “Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life.” (John 6:47)

  • “…Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” (Acts 16:31)

STEPone

CONFESS YOUR SINS

STEPtwo

Confess, acknowledge that you have “missed the mark” in living as God requires. The Bible promises us that:

  •  “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will  forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

REPENT OF YOUR SINS

STEPthree

To “repent” means to have a change of heart and attitude. It means to feel sorry for your sins, and to change your ways from a lifestyle that is not pleasing to God. It is a deliberate decision to turn from sin and place your trust in Jesus Christ to forgive you.

  • “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.” (2 Corinthians 7:10)

  • “…Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38)

Salvation cannot be earned through good works, money, or religious activity. It is a free gift that must be received by your personal choice. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Pray this Prayer with All Your Heart

Why wait?  Why not make a life-transforming decision and get in relationship with God right now? It’s an eternal decision. Don’t put it off. Tomorrow is not promised to you. However, God promises us salvation, freedom from the bondage of sin, death and hell, if we trust Christ. It’s that simple. Receive Christ into your life today!

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” (Romans 10:9-10)

“… I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:10)

“Heavenly Father, I know I am a sinner and have fallen short of your perfect standard. Thank you for sending Jesus into the world to die on the cross.  I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus came into this world to save me and that I can have eternal life through Him. I repent and ask you to forgive me of my sins. I ask Jesus to come into my heart. Take control of my life. Cleanse me. Wash me. Heal me. Deliver me from everything that is not pleasing to You. Be my personal Lord and Savior. I will follow and obey You for the rest of my life. Thank you for your forgiveness and eternal life in heaven. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.”

Next Steps:

  • Read your Bible every day. Start in the book of John (in the New Testament).

  • Talk to God every day. Just start out by simply expressing your thoughts and feelings to God for a few minutes each day. The length of time in prayer isn’t the emphasis, but the position of your heart. What can you talk with God about? Anything and everything. Talk with God like He is a close friend.

  • Join a Church where the Bible is taught. As a new Christian, it is important for you to be taught the Word of God and be around the fellowship of other believers so you can grow strong.

Jesus said

"I am the way, the truth, & the life.
No one comes to Father except through Me."
